The Caring Hands

“The Caring Hands,” is the third in a series of Pastel Paintings of Hands. The last one also contained an apple and was called, “Can I Tempt You?” This one has two hands with and apple.

The thumbs are open making no attempt to hold onto the gift of the apple.

Open hands are caring and giving hands and they go on caring and giving no matter what else changes in our lives.

Painted using pastels of white and black and pastel pencils for the apple. The picture with mount measures 16” x 20” the fame which is a brushed antique type frame adds about a further inch all round.

This is a painting I hope that will inspire thoughts and discussion and make a bold statement in any room.
